Dr. Jenna Moore is the "Head of Section Annelida" at the "Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change (LIB)" in Hamburg. In this position she currently manages the projects "EuroWorm: Accelerating Global Marine Annelid Biodiversity Research With Open Genomic Data For European Species" as well as "Integrative systematics and taxonomy of the Chaetopteridae". The Annelida collection at the was established in November 2019 to unite the mainly marine "Polychaeta" collection and the mainly terrestrial and freshwater Oligochaeta and Hirudinea collection, which were historically split between two invertebrate collections at the "Museum für Naturkunde Hamburg". In this episode you learn about silent extinction, the unexpected dangers of dealing with segmented worms, their inner strcuture, the difficulties of historically grown taxonomies, an earthworm related festival and sex robots at a full moon.
